Our Forest Floor Mulch looks, smells and feels just like the forest floor! It is created from chipped and ground woody materials, to which we add 10% of our Soilutions Compost, making it ideal for garden beds, tree wells, or anywhere your plants need an extra boost of nutrients. Forest Floor mulch ranges in length from 1/2" to 4".

Layed down Soilutions compost. Wonderful! Then mulch. After a few weeks a plant appeared. Thought it was a gourd but turned out to be a cantaloupe plant. It produced the best cantaloupe. I just picked one today. Juicy and so sweet. So fun and a wonderful surprise! Thank you for the wonderful products.
I was surprised at how easy it was to order the mulch online. Pick up had a minor glitch in that I think I chose a location that wasn't open on Saturdays, but the Soilutions folks were available immediately by phone that morning when I realized my error and quickly had my order ready at another location. I'm very happy with both the product and service. In fact, I'll be ordering more soon.
It was easy to pay for, and it was loaded in the back of a pick up with minimal wait time. When I spread it out at home, it began to rain, which was perfect as it dam into the mulch and it actually really smelled like a forest!

I did my entire front yard in the forest floor mulch, no fabric or anything else underneath, and it is absolutely beautiful. I do recommend the enriched topsoil for leveling your base, but mine still looks great. People all over the neighborhood stop to admire how gorgeous it looks. I have been a homeowner for almost 30 years and have always used rock and gravel, but no more, since I've discovered the benefits of organic mulch. When I walk outside it smells great.

We like the mulch and the delivery went really well. There are lots of stickers and bits of plastic debris in the mulch. I guess that's all in the game, but it's kind of frustrating and unsightly.
Just like a forest floor! Watered it in after putting it where I wanted it, and it locks together nicely so the wind and accidentally lawn mower hits won't move it
Great cover for our flower beds and around tree trunks. We also put some around the walking paths around raised garden beds. It does tend to be subject to those strong winds though so thoughtful of where you put it.
