Our Premium Garden Soil is a specialized blend that starts with Soilutions Compost, to which we add native sandy loam, coco coir and New Mexico pumice to facilitate added aeration and moisture retention. This soil is well-draining and rich in organic matter, ensuring your plants have abundant room to flourish beneath the surface, increasing their rooting depth capabilities which will in turn help them reach their maximum potential!
Premium Garden Soil is our choice for raised beds as the components prevent compaction and oversaturation, helping maintain oxygen flow while providing ample nutrients for healthy plants. This soil is also our recommendation for rose gardens and transplants of any flowers from nursery pots to in-ground. If you're looking for higher yields in your flower and vegetable production, look no further than Soilutions Premium Garden Soil.
Soilutions products do not contain manure, peat moss or biosolids. We are dedicated to providing high quality products that will help your plants flourish and thrive. We monitor our compost temperature 2x per week, and run regular third party independent lab tests for over 600 contaminants, including persistent herbicides.

COVERAGE CALCULATOR
Soilutions products are sold in bulk quantities measured by the cubic yard (3’x3’x3’). Our handy coverage calculator will help you easily figure out how much compost, soil, or mulch you need for a successful project.
There are two easy ways to visualize a cubic yard:
- One cubic yard will generally fill the back of a standard sized pick up truck bed.
- One cubic yard is equivalent to about 27 standard sized soil bags (1 cubic ft) that you would find at a nursery or home improvement store.
How to Use Coverage Calculator:
- Start by measuring the area you want to cover. To calculate square footage, multiply width and length of your project area (Length (feet) x width (feet) = square footage). Enter that information into the Coverage Calculator.
- If you know your required depth, enter it into the Coverage Calculator
- Most customers choose to round up if they are in between numbers. There is nearly always a use for a little extra soil, compost or mulch in any landscape or garden.

HOW TO USE
Premium Garden Soil was specially formulated to proactively solve problems with compaction and over-saturation common in raised beds, rose gardens and when transplanting flowers from pots to in-ground. Planting directly into this nutrient rich soil blend will help improve yields in your vegetable and flower gardens.
How to Use:
- Fill raised garden beds, with minimum of 16" depth to allow for room for root development
- Prepare to plant roses by aerating/tilling native soil and laying down at least a 3"-4" depth of Premium Garden Soil over it. Depth of tilled soil plus Premium Garden Soil should be at least 12". Add more Premium Garden Soil if you till less native soil.
- Transplant plants from pots by digging a hole approximately the same size as the pot, carefully remove the plant and inspect roots for root bind, place in your hole, Fill with Premium Garden Soil, pat down until firm and water well. "
