Order and delivery went very smoothly. Distributed compost myself, thinly spread over much of a front and back yard that had for many years survived under minimal care and watering. Spread a compost layer on bare, weedy soil under shrub areas and mature trees followed by a thicker layer of forest mulch. Raked out dead lawn buildup and spread about 1/2 compost inch all over. Trees seem reasonably healthy and greened up well. Lawns and shrubs greened vigorously after the compost, over spring lots of patchy areas have recovered fully and bigger bald areas are gradually filling. Plan to aerate lawn early fall and dose again with compost if greening is lackluster come next spring.
