New Improved Recipe! Our Forest Floor Mulch looks, smells and feels just like the forest floor! It is created from a blend of composted wood chips and ponderosa pine chips from NM forests, to which we add 10% of our Soilutions Compost, making it ideal for garden beds, tree wells, or anywhere your plants need an extra boost of nutrients. Forest Floor mulch ranges in length from 1/2" to 4".

I'm so glad I had this mulch delivered. In this year of heat, drought, & extreme weather it has worked to save our trees & plantings.
Super smooth ordering and delivery. Being retired now, I spent big chunks of four days to spread the mulch myself. Most went to cover and level up bare concrete-hard dirt spaces in between monster cottonwood tree roots. A bit challenging to wheel it in but a good workout. Grandmother Tree seems happy to have mulch between (but not covering over) her enormous toes! The rest covered a sad shrub bed and filled in hot dusty weedy spaces around front and back door stoops. Yes a few weeds and grass poke through but the appearance and cooling effect are a huge improvement. When this mulch eventually thins down and a new layer needs to be added I will likely try the native mulch.

I didn’t want large pieces of wood, so ordered this for the yard. Pretty much as described, though there were a fair number of big clumps of hard packed dirt (3-4 inches in diameter), which I was not a fan of. Took those out as I came across them. Not sure where my landscaper got the forest floor mulch he put on my yard 10 years ago, but it was a lot cleaner than this. This will probably be okay. Do have to say, Delivery was great. 👍
