Red pecan shells are brought in directly from farmers in southern New Mexico and are a great way to celebrate New Mexico agriculture in style. Pecan shells are a great alternative to gravel in xeriscape design, as pathways, and make terrific mulch for rose beds and potted plants. Using pecan shells rather than rock can reduce evaporative moisture loss and may help keep your yard a little cooler during the hottest days of summer. HOW TO USE

"Pecan Mulch is a sustainable alternative to red volcanic rock, gravel and other landscaping rock. It provides the same pop of color while helping nourish your soil and reducing evaporative moistures loss.

How to Use:
- Place a 4"" layer of Pecan Much for any application that would otherwise call for colored rock, such as pathways, recreational areas and yard borders.
- Add a 2-4"" to inground, raised bed gardens or in potted plants. Rose beds are a particularly popular appllication."
