Fish Meal (9-4.5-0) is a natural source of readily available Nitrogen and Phosphorous that will help keep your heavy feeding crops growing strong. Despite its high nitrogen content, Fish meal will not 'burn' your plants and helps stimulate strong, healthy root and shoot development. Fish meal can be applied monthly throughout growing season, and is a great organic amendment for sod and turf!
Suggested application Rate:
2-3 Pounds per 100 square feet of growing area, or per cubic yard of soil. Add 1-2 tablespoons per gallon of soil for new container gardens or potted plants.
As a side dressing, scratch 2-4 tablespoons into the top few inches of soil every month throughout growing season. Water thoroughly after application.
Fish meal is not water soluble and not a recommended additive to compost tea.
